Did that just happen…. a business dream come true. Talking about my passion, my hard work, my bread & butter. Yes I really was live on Virgin Radio talking to Chris Evans about family first aid and what to do in a medical emergency.
I took all my kit with me to give a live demo on CPR and what to do if someone chokes. Definitely a dream come true. Live on air Chris said I was “the best guest they’ve had in 10 years”. Well that was definitely the highlight of my last 10 years.
I got invited to the show by Rachel Horne, the show’s producer. I’d recently run a family first aid session at Sam Pinkhams and then the Horne’s house for Rachel, Alex and their young sons. Like a lot of families they’d faced a medical incident at home and didn’t know what to do so wanted some first aid training to build their confidence.
Very soon after the show Alex had to put their training into practice when they saved a man from choking on a piece of bacon at a local restaurant. Would you believe it? Thanks to Rachel for inviting me on the show and the Pinkham’s for choosing me to run their first family first aid session.
