This Level 2 Qualification gives you the Basic Life Support and AED skills to save someone in need.
This course provides learners with the essential skills and knowledge needed to recognise a cardiac emergency, deliver effective CPR, and safely use an AED. The qualification follows the BLS/AED algorithm and aligns with the UK Core Skills Training Framework (UK‑CSTF), covering both adult and paediatric care.
The course teaches core lifesaving skills including initial assessment, recovery position, CPR (adult, child, infant), compression‑only CPR, choking management, and safe AED use. It is suitable for healthcare professionals, care workers, first aiders, and anyone who requires annual skills updates. Training is available fully online or as a blended option with practical instruction.
Learners also gain confidence in AED operation, maintenance checks, and troubleshooting—an increasingly important skill due to wider community access to defibrillators. All training is delivered in accordance with the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines and meets HSE requirements.
A nationally recognised 3‑year certificate is awarded on completion, with optional eLearning, downloadable resources, weekly refresher videos, and CPD time credit included.
All our first aid courses fully comply with the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines, meeting HSE requirements.
