Anaphylaxis and Asthma Awareness Level 2

Anaphylaxis, Allergy & Asthma Awareness is suitable for schools, healthcare professionals, families, and any setting managing the risk of an anaphylactic emergency. 

This 2.5 hour training is designed to give school staff the confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies involving Anaphylaxis or Asthma in line with Benedict’s Law.

From September 2026 The Department of Education’s new mandatory statutory guidance, as set out in Benedicts Law on allergy safety, will require schools to have:

• Spare adrenaline auto-injectors such as EpiPens
• Mandatory allergy and anaphylaxis training for all staff
• An allergy action plan for every pupil with allergies
• Introduce a whole-school allergy policy.

These conditions are taught together because they are closely linked and often coexist, making it essential to understand how they influence one another during an emergency.

1. A personalised, downloadable certificate of attendance.
2. Records of staff training. 
3. A completed allergy drill sheet for your records.

Note: Staff who have completed the Paediatric First Aid Course will have covered both these topics, this awareness course will have more content and will cover any latest updates.
