Not one, but two awards in 2024 and so much more to celebrate…

Earlier in the year Child Matters won ‘Best Nanny Training Provider Award’ and only last week we won ‘Marlow FM 97.5 Hidden Gem Award’ for services to the community.  

One of the services we provide every year to support #RestartAHeart day is to teach our local community how to give CPR and confidently use a defibrillator. This time we even had the Mayor of Marlow gettting hands on, learning how to save a life. And installing a defibrillator in our road I felt was a necessity to support this endeavour and give everyone a fighting chance.

As well as this achievement Child Matters trainers have taught junior first aid to a massive 1,523 school pupils at Great Marlow, Holy Trinity, Eton End, Hartlands, Great Kimble school and more, trained nearly 2,000 wonderful childminders, nursery workers, nannies and teachers.

We’ve reached a staggering milestone of 10,000 followers on Facebook and been so pleased to support midwife Chloe at her antenatal classes by helping new mothers navigate potential medical emergencies.

But we couldn’t do any of it without you, the wonderful students who attend our child matters paediatric first aid courses time and time again. So thank you, and did I say, thank you for your continued support and especially for voting for us.  

“Every year Claire Street from Child Matters gives her time for free to teach life saving techniques in a very calm and straightforward way. This is such a valuable resource for the community, and something that everyone should know about.

She’s also funded (together with local residents) a defibrillator on the side of her own home for Marlow residents to use and she teaches first aid to children at Great Marlow School, Burford, Sandygate and more.

She is a local small business, mum of three who is so dedicated to providing an educational and fun first aid training service to the local schools, nurseries and childminders as well as families and children. She also volunteered during Covid to vaccinate the local community. Marlow is a better place with Claire in it.”
