First Aid for Schools

6 Hour First Aid Course for Schools

Our first aid for schools course can help train your team of teachers and school staff to deal with any first aid emergency.  The first aid for school’s course has been specifically designed to provide schools with an adapted HSE approved EFAW course covering both adult and child first aid, suitable for a school setting and perfect to fit within an inset or training day.

Introduction to Safeguarding - Level 1

This half day course covers safeguarding legislation and guidance.  Completion of the course will give you the knowledge to understand the processes for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including those suffering, at risk of suffering or significant harm.

Child Protection Advanced Course

This full day course provides an opportunity for individuals and teams of staff to explore attitudes and values with regards to safeguarding children, gain a more in-depth knowledge of the signs and symptoms of abuse, reporting, policies and procedures and inter-agency liaison.

Recognising And Treating Anaphylaxis

As a rule, first aid training does not include the administration of any medications, and while allergy sufferers and their parents or guardians receive advice and training in the use of auto-injectors, care workers, child carers and first aiders rarely do. We offer a two hour workshop to breach that gap.

Flat Stan First Aid Workshop for Children

Child Matters is delighted to be delivering the Flat Stan first aid workshops.  Flat Stan first aid is an exciting new training concept which provides essential life skills for children (with lots of fun included), so that now or later in life they will know what to do in an emergency, so that they can help themselves and others.

Junior First aid Training

Currently, British schools have no obligation to teach students about first aid, despite the obvious benefits this education would bring.  From our experience of teaching children and seeing how much they gain from it, we think everybody should know how to save a life.

First Aid At Work – (FAW) – Level 3

The First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) qualification (FAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines as outlined by the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent updates including the 1st October 2017 changes.

Emergency First Aid Course For Work

This courses is designed for workplaces that fall into a low risk category, if you have staff required to be emergency first aiders or if you need a first aid qualifications for your role at work. On our training course we will cover a wide range of first aid topics to help you deal with any eventuality. You will be taught in a face to face learning environment with experienced professionals.

Online Training

Choose from one of over twenty modules. There is a pre-test section to assess the student’s comprehension followed by a scenario based learning to help the student update and refresh their knowledge. Students are able to train wherever and whenever they like. They will receive a certificate to confirm their attendance on the programme.

First Aid for Childcare Providers

12 Hour Paediatric First Aid Courses

This 12 hour paediatric first aid courses for childcare providers is designed for anyone working with children requiring OFSTED registration and will prepare you to be able to respond in a medical emergency as well as meet OFSTED & EYFS standards.

6 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course

This 6 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course – Level 3 meets the requirements of the voluntary part of the OFSTED childcare register, which many nannies, au pairs and those in equivalent job roles are opting to join.
