Oxygen Provider Level 2

This three hour Oxygen Provider Level 2 (VTQ) course trains individuals to safely administer medical oxygen and use equipment like bag valve masks (BVM) and regulators during emergencies.

Available online or via classroom, it covers oxygen therapy basics, safety protocols, and storage, ideal for first aiders, offshore workers, and security personnel. 

Includes the ABCDE approach, safe handling and storage of cylinders, pulse oximetry, and administering oxygen for conditions like anaphylaxis

What is covered?

  • This course teaches the fundamentals of delivering oxygen in first-aid situations.
  • First aid with oxygen by qualified rescuers can be an effective technique of saving a life or boosting recovery.
  • You’ll learn the fundamentals of assembling, using, and disassembling an oxygen kit.
  • Although oxygen is a straightforward skill, there are certain safety considerations that are addressed in detail on the course.    
  • Includes the use of bag valve masks (BVM) to give breaths without direct mouth contact, as well as the ability to deliver breaths while consuming 100% oxygen.
  • Also includes pulse oximetry to match the most recent recommendations. 
  • According to the HSE, all of our first aid courses fully comply with the most recent UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2025.
  • The certificate is valid for 3yrs and nationally recognised.
