Practical Junior First Aid Training for Children

Currently, British schools have no obligation to teach students about first aid, despite the obvious benefits such education would bring.

From our experience of teaching children, seeing how much they gain from it, we think everybody should know how to save a life.

That’s why Child Matters offers Junior First Aid Training to schools from Year 2 right up to school leavers age.

This course is a practical course aimed at teaching first aid skills to children. It offers them a chance to practice first aid skills to develop their knowledge in life saving skills. This course is ideal to complete in a classroom setting. It is very important for children to learn first aid skills and the course is taught in a relaxed and fun way to ensure that they learn and remember what to do in an emergency.

For the younger ages we deliver short courses covering the basics of Calling for Help, Assessing a Situation, Recovery Position, Compression Only CPR, Burns, Bleeding, Fractures, Anaphylaxis.

A full 3.5 Hour course can be delivered to anyone aged 11 upwards. Ideal for teenagers who babysit, play/referee sports ideal for any vigilant young person wanting to learn new skills.
