Learn the simple skills needed to operate an automated external defibrillator

AEDs (automated external defibrillators) are proven to save lives and are therefore an invaluable addition to your personal knowledge or staff training. The purpose of this Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding in the provision of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and of the safe use and management of an Automated External Defibrillator. This qualification offers the trained provider the opportunity to provide effective emergency lifesaving first aid care using an AED. This is achieved through the understanding of the BLS/AED algorithm and the responsibilities and treatment principles of AED use.

If you have one installed in your workplace, we highly recommend you train staff in its usage. Our course teaches the essential skills that an AED operator needs and gives students the confidence to know what to do in an emergency should you find an AED in your community or workplace.

Defibrillators are very simple to operate and no previous training is required to attend this course.

No previous first aid knowledge is needed to attend an AED course.
